Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday said his ideal Biafra State must include not just the five predominantly Igbo States of Anambra, Imo, Eboyin, Abia and Enugu, but also the South-south state of Rivers and North Central Benue State.

Kanu who spoke when leaders of Igbo Civil Society Coalition led by Prof. Obasi Igwe paid him a solidarity visit at his Umuahia home, according to a report in Vanguard newspaper.

The newspaper quoted the Biafra agitator as telling his guests that the Nigerian Government offered him Biafra Republic while in Prison with only the five South East States as the components parts, but he rejected it.

Kanu who did not reveal who made the offer to him said he rejected because Biafra will not be complete without Rivers and Benue States.  He also claimed that he was offered an oil block and mansion in Dubai as baits to abandon agitation for Biafra, but he rejected them and insisted on the actualization of Biafra.

“They gave me Biafra in prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers. Biafra is coming, there is nothing to stop it,” Vanguard newspaper quoted the agitator as saying.
