Anambra APC gubernatorial primary: Nwoye floors Andy Uba

Former presidential aide and Senator, Andy Uba lost his bid to represent Anambra on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC in the State’s gubernatorial election scheduled for later 2017.

Uba who was believed to be the favourite for the APC gubernatorial ticket was defeated at the party’s primary which took place overnight from Saturday to Sunday by Tony Nwoye, a former leader of student union and a lawmaker.

Results of the primary revealed that while Nwoye, scored 2,146 votes in the primary, Andy Uba scored only 931 votes to come second in the primary contested by 12 aspirants.
