Little Victoria Emmanuel, born with a heart condition, called Ventricular Septal Defect, needs the financial help of well meaning Nigerians and other citizens of the world. Since her birth two years ago, Victoria has breathing and mobility problems
According to her father, Mr. Emmanuel Osadolor: “We noticed it precisely two months after her birth, when we discovered that she was not breathing well. Our thought was that maybe something was obstructing her throat so we took her to the General Hospital at Ikare in Ondo State.” They were latter referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Ido Ekiti, “from there we were again referred to OAUTH where she was diagnosed with hole in the heart.
“Since then we have made several effort but not enough, presently she was on drug and there was a time she had heart failure and placed on oxygen and gradually she was able to recover. But in June, the doctor told us that we need to raise the money for surgery fast to save her life. Presently we have deposited N500,000 but the hospital said we need to provide N2 million for the surgery.
A letter signed by the Associate Professor of Paediatrics and Child Health, Dr. John A.O. Okeniyi, revealed that Victoria has a major congenital heart disease, “Specifically, Ventricular septal defect which consists of a hole in the heart which have caused her to be chronically ill. She will tremendously benefit from a major open heart surgery which has been scheduled in our hospital for the month of September 2017 at a tentative cost of N2 million. This is by far cheaper than if they travel abroad so am in full support of their soliciting your assistance to help her raise the much and urgently needed funds.”
Thus, the girl’s father asked members of the public to assist by sending their contributions to Emmanuel Victoria Oluwadarasimi, First Bank Plc 3116524804 or call 08136128305 for further details.
