Mentally challenged woman gives birth to baby boy in Asaba

A touching story of how a kind hearted, road side plantain seller assisted a mentally unstable woman to give birth to a bouncing baby boy in a road side on the street of Sapele, Delta state in a broad day light under the full glare of members of the public has set the internet on fire.

The lady plantain seller noticed that mentally challenged woman was groaning in labour pains and rushed to assist her.

The Good Samaritan, however, noticed that the placenta refused to come out, prompting her to call for help.

A doctor, whose was simply given as Ugochuckwu, later arrived the scene and assisted her in delivering the baby safely, before the baby and the mother were taken to the hospital

Efforts to locate her family of the mentally unstable mother are going on while the baby has since been named Excel.
