Two suspected kidnappers and cattle rustlers, Hassan Amodu and Anubakar Abdullah, were arrested by the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad(FSARS) and paraded by the Ogun State Police command for the murder of a herdsman Taye Amodu.
The duo, kidnapped the victim on the 23rd of October 2017 at obada oko area of Abeokuta and equally made away with eight cows belonging to the victim.
On receiving the information FSARS men their OC, DSP Uba Adam, swung into action to fish out the culprits within the shortest possible period of time.
At about 5:30pm of the same day, the hideout of the culprits was located in Imeko area of Ogun State through technical intelligence.
The hideout in a thick forest was stormed by the operatives where the two suspects were arrested. Recovered from them were one pump action gun fully loaded with four live cartridges and two cutlasses.
On interrogation, they confessed to have killed the victim (because he was struggling with them while they were taking him away and the body) and buried him in a shallow grave inside the forest. They equally confessed taking away eight cows of the victim.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police, Ahmed Iliyasu commended the action of the FSARS operatives for their gallantry and good display of intelligent investigation.
