The Labour Party of Ogun state chapter is determined to take power from Governor Ibikunle Amosun come 2019 gubernatorial election.
This was made known by the National Chairman of the party Alhaji Abdulkareem Abdulsalam (Baradeen Paiko) over the weekend in a press conference with the gentlemen of the pen at Iweroyin Abeokuta capital of Ogun state.
Alhaji Abdulkareem made it known that the party his ready to take power from Gov Amosun just as it had taken power in Ondo State where Gov Mimiko had won two terms.
His words “I am here as the National leader of the party to give assureance to the good people of ogun that the state chapter of Labour Party is now re-branded and ready to take power from Governor Ibikunle Amosun come May 29th 2019″.
The leadership of Labour Party is determined to ensure total victory in the coming General election just has we had won two terms in Ondo State”.
Therefore our hands are open to welcome all good citizens of Ogun state into our party.”
We are resolute to embrace pragmatic changes that will enable us to deliver dividend of democracy to all and sundry and in our quest to take over power from the incumbent governor of Ogun state on May 29 2019.He assured
Ascertaining that “Labour Party in Ogun state is setting the ball rolling for the commencement of congresses in wards,local government areas and the state.
Baradeen boastfully said “LP is the largest party with the greatest followership not only in Nigeria but the world in General.
Abdulkareem therefore call on all workers in Ogun “most especially the trade unions,the Nigeria Labour congress,the Nigeria Union of Teachers,NULGE and Artisans to join hands with yhe re-branded leadership of Ogun state labour party by participating actively in the on going re-structuring of the party in Ogun State.
Also stating that LP is one and indivisible entity with resolutions to play our role actively and positively in the developmental and democratic process of our great nation.
