Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State

Kogi State Government has described leaders of the Save Kogi Project as a “bunch of failures” who are unsettled by the giant strides the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello is recording in the state.
Reacting to a Press Statement by the Group in Abuja, in which the State Government was carpeted by their leaders, the Director General of Media and Strategy to Governor, Kingsley Fanwo said the Group shouldn’t be taken serious by Nigerians.
“They are a bunch of failures who are trying to play politics with the future of our dear State. Our decision to sell of non-yielding assets is to enable government provide infrastructure for economic development.
“It is economic smartness to sell what does not give you income now and inject what is realized to stimulate the economy.
“The angst of the Group was the failure of the Governor to share the commonwealth of the State with them. The texts of their statement show that they have been completely disconnected from reality back home.
“We remain resolute to moving the state forward as the people are solidly with the Governor. The latest onslaught was occasioned by the embarrassing sea of heads that greeted the APC Rally in Lokoja on February 17, 2018.
“The Staff Verification Exercise was a huge success that has saved the state billions of Naira that were hitherto wasted on ghost workers and unintended beneficiaries. Through the exercise, we have changed the orientation of the civil servants.

“Their lies that APC was dead in Kogi was punctured. And they have decided to move on to the next lie”.
