13 police officers detained after escape of suspects linked to Dino Melaye

The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Police Force on Wednesday announced the escape of six suspected criminals it identifies Kabiru Seidu a.k.a Osama, Nuhu Salisu a.k.a Small, Aliyu Isa, Adams Suleiman, Emmanuel Audu and Musa Mohammed from its custody.
The suspects escaped from the ‘A’ Division Lokoja, where they were being detained.
Four of the suspects were on court remand including two that indicted Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu.
Consequently, Ali. Janga, the Kogi state commissioner of Police said all the names of six suspects, Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu have been sent for watch listing and red notice by the INTERPOL for immediate arrest any where they are seen.
The Command also appealed to the members of the public to assist the Police with useful information on the whereabouts of the suspects by reporting to the nearest Police Station.
The Police said 13 officers who were on duty when the incident occurred were defaulted and detained for interrogation.
