Members of Ibogun communities in Ewekoro Local government area of Ogun state have pledged their total support to His Royal Highness Oba Dr Fakayode Adesina Faluade, Olu of Ibogun Balogun.
The community which consists of 32 towns said this during the tour of Faluade to their area. While responding to support and promises of the heads of communities, the Olu of Ibogun Balogun, who tagged the visitation as a thank you tour to all his subjects in Ibogun land called for collective decision in steering the affairs of the land. He promised to set up committees among all the communities who will oversea the affairs of some certain things in Ibogun Land.
In his words: “I believe that through collective decision and love, rapid transformation of Ibogun land will emerged. We are going to operate an open door policy in governance of Ibogun”
He added: “A lot of steps and action have been taken. Also his office has written some letters and has also consulted some politicians who need to contribute towards the development of our domain.”
The monarch also assured his people that he would use his resources and connection to develop Ibogun Land.
Earlier on, according to Chief Sunday Adeolu Sorongbe, Baale of Ibogun Ekundayo and Chief Oluwole Akinrese, Baale of Ibogun Opo, while commending the newly installed Olu Of Ibogun Balogun for diming it fit to visit all communities and villages in Ibogun land said: “With this visit, it shows that we are important in Ibogun and it we also boost our courage in fostering the unity of Ibogun Land.
They named some of the challenges facing them in their respective domains: Lack of good roads, lack of stable electricity and others.
The communities visited were: Ibogun Ekundayo, Akinsinde, Opo, Alapako Oke, Alapako Sogunje, Also in day two are Ibogun Alasia, Oderinlo, Olaoparun, Giwa, Olaogun, Adina. Ibogun Odeyemi, Alapoti, Akiode, Sulola and Odejimi.
