Former Nigeria’s vice president, Atiku Abubakar ‘jam’ his former boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednedsay in at a forum organised by the Gusau Institute on ‘A New Era for China-Africa Cooperation at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. The two former leaders greeted warmly.
But many will be left wondering if Atiku discussed the issue of his 2019 presidential ambition with his former boss who had over the years demonstrated stiff opposition to the former Vice President’s ambition to rule the country.
However, both men are now united in efforts to see President Muhammadu Buhari out of office and Atiku has been campaigning on the platform of opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to be the next occupant of Aso Rock presidential villa.
On the other hand, Obasanjo has been at the vanguard of a coalition working to displace Buhari from office in 2019, but he has not endorsed any presidential candidate.
