Members of the Alubarika People’s Forum, APF say the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has neglected their community in Bariga in its developmental activities across the state.

The group spoke while pledging  their full support to the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) member, Mr Tunde Aleshinloye-Williams, who is vying to represent Somolu Constituency II, at the Lagos State House of Assembly, in the 2019 general elections.

The group, named after its late leader, Alhaji Kazeem Akinsola popularly called Alubarika, made the promise while complaining of neglect by the ruling party in the State.

The wife of the late Alhaji Akinsola, who is also the current leader of the group, Mrs Khadijat Akinsola, expressed her dissatisfaction with the attitude of the current government of the state to the area, saying , “the State and the Local Governments have not done anything tangible to show the presence of Government in the area. ”

Mrs Akinsola noted that “government should be for all citizens and communities”, while insinuating that the neglect of the area may be intentional due to their support for the PDP, in the last elections.

The Alubarika members, however thanked Mr Tunde Aleshinloye-Williams for his philanthropic gestures and well spirited programmes, which they said have touched some members of the community even when he was not seeking any elective position.

Mr Aleshinloye-Williams in his response, promised quality representation and legislation that would impact positively on the people, if given the opportunity to serve.

He said he would not relent, but continue to do more to make life meaningful for his people.

Mr Aleshinloye-Williams who was accompanied by the PDP leader in Somolu, Barrister Adewale Onilere , PDP Local Government Chairman, Chief Wasiu Adeyemi, House of Representatives aspirant, Mr Seyi Olowu, Comrade Wahab Ibrahim, Comrade Kazeem Jolaosho and other leaders of the PDP later, attended a ward meeting at Bariga Ward L, where he was well received by the executives and members of the PDP in the ward.
