Dr. Adesola Samuel Adedayo, the former Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, has said that his aspiration for a seat at the House of Representatives, is not worth shedding the blood of animal not to talk of killing human beings for.

Dr. Adesola also stated that he is fully in support of the nomination of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), in Lagos State.

The two-term chairman of the council stated this during a rally held across the seven wards in Apapa-Iganmu LCDA and meeting with APC members at Apapa Local Government Area, on Friday and Monday, respectively.

Addressing some inhabitants of the LCDA at the home of Dr. Christopher Anango, the first executive chairman of the council on Friday, Dr. Adesola said: “I need to tell everyone standing here today, that my aspiration isn’t worth the shielding the blood of animal not to talk of killing human beings.

“We don’t need to fight or kill anyone because of my aspiration. All candidates are from the same one house and it is whom God wants and chooses that He will appoint.

“Don’t fight or kill anyone over my aspiration. I will never involve or support such act”.

On his take on the nomination of Bababjide Sanwo-Olu as the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, Adedayo said: ” I have been hearing the rumors that I didn’t support the choice of our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This is nothing but blatant lie.

“I’m in full support of the choice of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the governorship candidate of our great party. And I have told all my supporters and members of our party that they should all come out and vote enmasse for Sanwo-Olu as the next Governor of Lagos State. As for those saying that am not Sanwo-Olu, there no element of the truth in such rumour”.

Among the places visited by Dr. Adedayo during the rally includes the home of First chairman of the council, Chief (Dr.) Anago, the traditional head of Ajagbe town, Chief Ojerinde Ajayi Ojora, the chief Imam of Sari-Iganmu Central Mosque, Alhaji AbdulRasheed Adrdotun Olaoye, members of the Community Development Committee (CDC), market places and houses of prominent political leaders in the area.

Endorsing the aspiration of Dr. Adedayo, the first chairman of the council, Pa. Anago said: “Dr. Samuel Adesola Adedayo is my successor. We knew what he did while he was the council chairman and am very sure that if he become our representative at the House of Representatives, there is no doubt that that he’ll do more and represent us well.

“I call on all our party members to come out on Wednesday and give their vote for Adedayo so that he will become our candidate for the seat of House of Representative in 2019 General election”.

Also, Chief Ajayi-Ojora, the Baale of Ajagbe town, Sari-Iganmu said: “the money we the Baales are getting from the council every months was introduced during the regime of Dr. Adedayo as our council chairman and that was even little from what he did to us when he was in power.

“I pray that God will grant him his desire and represent us in Abuja come 2019, so that he will be able to do more for us”.

Another resident of the area, Makanjuola Olakunle, popularly called Biggy, whose late father was a Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), but supported Dr. Adesola during his ambition to govern the local government. Equally promised to campaign and support the former Chairman’s aspiration.

Makanjuola said: “despite the fact that my father was in PDP, he supported you to become chairman of our council. Just as my father did then, am also supporting you in your aspiration. And when the time comes, I promised to make 20 banners and many others things for your success and victory”.

Also, the CDC members in the area, through the chairman, Dr. Ilyasu Bamiwe, also promised to support the former Chairman of the council on his aspiration.

At the Apapa local Government rally, Dr. Adedayo assured members of the party of adequate and unbiased representative.

In ensuring that he fulfilled his promised of adequate representative, he said his constituency offices would be opened in the two local government areas where the immediate needs, request will give prompt attention.

Dr. Adedayo also reaffirmed his commitment and support for the candidacy of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the governorship candidate of APC, while also advised party members of fighting anyone over his aspirations.

A youth leader in the area, Henry Obed, lamented that youths in the area have long been marginalized. He pleaded with the former council boss to include youth in his projects.

Another youth leader in the area, Adebayo Oyenuga, promised that APC members in the area will work for Adedayo’s victory both at the party’s primary and general election.
