Just in: Atiku, PDP leaders in closed- door meeting with Obasanjo

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the leaders of the opposition party are meeting are meeting former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo behind closed doors in Abeokuta, Ogun State

The meeting is holding at the Presidential Library (OOPL), Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta is believed to be part of the move by the opposition party to galvanise support for its presidential candidate.

Reports indicate that Atiku who was accompanied by the National Chairman of PDP, Uche Secondus arrived at the meeting with Obasanjo around 1 pm.

Also on the entourage of the former vice president are former Governors of Ogun and Cross River States, Gbenga Daniel and Liyel Imoke, Senator Ben Bruce among others.

Atiku is expected to be the major contender against President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2019 general elections.
