The Director General and the Coordinator, President Muhammadu Buhari, PMB, Campaign Organisation, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN on Friay in Ibadan stated that the Yoruba race has a lot to gain if President Muhammadu Buhari is returned as the president in the forthcoming presidential election slated for next month.
Oke, who stated this in a brief interaction with the newsmen at the campaign office of the All Progressive Party, APC, OkeAdo urged the residents of the South West to vote en masse for President Buhari during the next presidential election so that the dividends of democracy could be sustained in the South West.
He noted that for almost four years that Buhari has assumed office as a president he has worked so hard to take Nigeria out of recession the previous administration had plunged the nation into.
According to him, “The damage that the PDP government did to Nigeria is so huge and cannot be repaired overnight. Buhari inherited total decay of the system when he assumed power. No country with huge corruption like our own can develop but Buhari is addressing the issue of corruption. He has the integrity to take Nigeria to the next level.
So, we are fixing the economy, though the effect might not be visible because of the huge damage earlier done to the system. I want to assure you that the economy is being fixed. Buhari has worked so hard to the extent that the nation has gained the confidence of the international community. Buhari is so concerned with the building of a solid foundation because he believes that once the foundation is laid, it will not be difficult to build super structure on it. We cannot and we should not allow anybody to come and destroy what we have built”.
Oke thanked President Buhari for the confidence reposed in him to coordinate his campaign in the South West.
Speaking earlier, the APC National Vice Chairman, South West, Barrister Bankole Oluwajana disclosed that the South West caucus meeting held before addressing the media has finalized arrangements on President Buhari’s campaign in Oyo State.
