President Muhammadu Buhari

A Buhari Support Group under the aegis of Hand-in-Hand, has expressed its total support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection bid for second term in office.

The Chairman of the group, Malam Abdullahi Dandume made the remarks at a news conference in Kano on Monday.

He said the decision by the group to support Buhari’s reelection bid was based his “unrivalled scorecard within the last three and a half years.”

According to him, supporting the President has become necessary , considering the unprecedented feat he had achieved in the areas of security, agriculture, economy as well as women and youths empowerment.

“Nigerians have realized the fact that with the introduction of the Treasury Single Account, sanity had been restored in the way the treasury was looted with levity.

“Before the coming of the Buhari administration, the Northern part of the country was riddled with insurgency which scale was unprecedented in the history of the country.

“This with the Boko Haram elements perpetrating their despicable offensive against innocent people,”he said.

He noted that the objective of restoring peace to areas ravaged by insurgency had been consolidated to the satisfaction of everyone.

Dandume added that the Buhari administration had also made a concerted effort in boosting the agricultural sector by supporting farmers to engage in large scale farming for massive food production in the country.

“The Nigeria’s foreign reserves has appreciably risen in the last four years in spite of the economic recession suffered in the past. If not for the measures Buhari had taken to keep looters at an arms lengh, the treasury of the country would have been depleted.

He, therefore, called on Nigerians to massively support the aspirations of President Buhari for a second term in the interest of a better and prosperous Nigeria.
