Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is leading his major challenger and incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressives Congress, APC  by a narrow margin his home state of Adamawa going by results collated from 16 local governments.  

Though the state has 21 local government areas, collated results from the 16 local governments indicated Atiku is leading  with score of 317, 088 votes while Buhari scored 295,088 votes.
