Mr Dauda Nuhu, the newly elected chairman of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria(PASAN), Nasarawa State chapter, has appealed to the state government to offer permanent jobs to casual staff of the House of Assembly.
Nuhu, who spoke with newsmen on Thursday in Lafia, shortly after he was elected as chairman of the body, said that workers would be more committed if offered permanent and pensionable jobs.
He said that the association would work with management to boost the welfare of the assembly’s staff, and promised to carry members along while working for them.
Earlier, Mr Obiri Uji, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, had commended members of the association for their orderly conduct during the election.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that other officials elected included Mr Aluma Joseph, Danjuma Abbe, Aishatu Abdullahi as Vice Chairman, Secretary and Financial Secretary, respectively
Others are Phoebe Caleb, Luka koku and Benjamin Affi who were elected as Welfare Secretary, Publicity Secretary and Assistant Secretary, respectively
