The Rivers State Chapter of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressive Congress, APC has now lost all hope of participating in participating in the forthcoming National Assembly election as well as the governorship and state House of Assembly elections on March 2.

This is as a result of the nullification of ruling of the Court of Appeal Court earlier which would have allowed the party to participate in the elections by the Supreme Court on Friday.

In annulling the decision of the lower court, Supreme Court justices it failed to invoke relevant sections of the law in voiding the decision of the Federal High Court barring the party from participating in elections in the state.

Appeal against the decision of the Appeal Court was filed by a faction of APC.
