Supreme Court upholds Bala Mohammed’s election as Bauchi governor

The Supreme Court on Monday affirmed the election of Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as Governor of Bauchi State.
In a unanimous judgement, the seven-man panel of the apex court held that Mohammed Abubakar of All Progressives Congress (APC) failed to prove his case.
Justice Dattijo Mohammed, who read the lead judgment, dismissed the appeal for lacking in merit.
