Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State,southwest,Nigeria will today be unanimously ratified by delegates of the All Progressives Congress to contest the February 2015 poll as the candidate of the party.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun is the sole candidate of the party and his coronation today was made possible by the clearance given him by the Senator Danjuma Goje screening panel on Sunday.

The open space at the June 12 Cultural centre,Kuto, Abeokuta has been filled to the brim as at 10 am today, with delegates and party supporters from the 20 local councils gathered for the ratification exercise.

Some of the party leaders who spoke with our correspondent declared that they have come to ratify the second term bid of the governor,to enable him continue the good work he has started.

INEC officials and representatives of the party from Abuja will witness the coronation.

“Yes,it is a confirmation of the good works the governor has been doing in the nearly four years ago. The people of Ogun State want the good works to continue and to fully confirm this,nobody picked the governorship form aside from the governor. Today being the primaries for the governorship under our great party,All Progressives Congress,APC, nationwide, it must be on record that we also participated and that is why the good people of Ogun State wanted to openly show appreciation and reaffirmation that the governor should continue for another four years in office.

“There is no doubt that the man deserves the encomium and praises being showered on him by all the people here today. The fact remains that the mission to rebuild still continues in Ogun and come May 29,2015, our own captain of the team, a leader with midas touch and an enigmatic leader,Senator Ibikunle Amosun,FCA,CON will be sworn in as the governor of Ogun State for the second term,inshallahu,” said the party member..
