Croatians in a burst of joy after defeating Golden Eaglets

Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amuneke said the Croatians deserved the 2-1 victory on Friday night over his wards, the Golden Eaglets in the final game of Group A in the FIFA tournament in Chile.

“My players wanted to win, but we were not the best tonight. They(The Croatians) prevented us from playing our game and deserved to win. My players are very talented, but still have room for improvement collectively.”

On his part, Dario  Basic, coach of the Croatians explained why his boys put on a dazzling performance against the Nigerians:

“I am very proud of my players who played a great match. We approached this game as a final, telling us it was absolutely necessary to win or go home. I believed in my team. It has shown that it can compete with the best teams in the world.”
