Former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, renown writer, Odia Ofeimun are among the dignitaries that will deliver speeches at this year’s Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture.

The theme of this year’s lecture which will take place on Friday January 15, 2016 at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja is: “The Collapse of Public Education: The Past, Present and Future Prospects of the Nigerian State.”

According to an official statement by the organiser of the event, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Ikeja Branch, the occasion will be used to distribute the book “People’s Right to Free Education (At All Levels), authored by the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi in 1974.

The event, according to the NBA, will also be used to unveil the website and social media platforms dedicated to ‘Fawehimism’ programme.

The NBA said the website and platforms will contain materials (lectures, photographs, audio and video recordings etc) of Fawehinmism lectures from inception in 2005 till date.
