Osinbajo flags off Kaduna housing project, shopping mall, galleria

The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday in Kaduna flagged off the foundation laying of 2,000 housing units projects initiated by Kaduna State government. This is the first stage of the 20,000 units planned.

Osinbajo also flagged off the foundation laying of a N5 billion shopping mall and galleria, which is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.

At the ground breaking ceremony, the Vice President said the federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari is happy with Kaduna Governor , Nasir El-Rufai for fulfilling All Progressives Congress, APC, manifesto and campaign promises.

According to him, APC is committed and determined to provide Nigerians with not only good governance, but also ensure dividends of democracy.

Osinbajo who commended Kaduna State government for deciding to build 20,000 houses over four years, modern shopping mall and galleria, emphasised that all state governments should emulate El-Rufai for a practicable and ambitious vision to make Kaduna great.

He reiterated  APC’s  commitment to providing two million jobs out of which 500,000 teachers would be employed.

He also disclosed that arrangement has been concluded with Bank of Industry to give loans to small scale business owners, market women, traders and artisans.

On  tackling corruption, the Vice President equally maintained there is no going back on President Buhari’s resolve to rid Nigeria of the vice.

According to him, all those found to be corrupt will not be spared, stressing, “Buhari is serious about stopping corruption and getting back all stolen funds”.

In his brief remark, Governor Nasir El-Rufai assured the Vice President that Kaduna government is prepared to fulfil all campaign promises in line with APC manifesto.

He explained that the entire  housing project of  20,000 units, will be completed within four years of his tenure, but the first phase of two thousand housing units would be completed within 12 months.
